- Alderman Jay Harney Appointment – As I advised during the week, Mayor Warren has formed a Transportation Advisory Committee (TAC) to discuss and assess the City’s accommodations for all modes of transportation including bicyclists, pedestrians, transit users, and motorists and will recommend ways to improve the infrastructure for all ages and abilities. When learning of the TAC, I asked that we have Board representation. Mayor Warren felt it was a great idea. After conferring with the Chair of Public Safety and Transportation, I decided to ask Alderman Jay Harney to serve on the TAC. He has accepted and will periodically report back to the Board on developments of the TAC. Any questions regarding this initiative should be directed to his attention so he can bring them forward to the TAC. Thank you Jay for your willingness to serve.
- Chairmen’s Meeting - September – After Labor Day, I will be having a Chairmen’s Meeting (all Board members are invited to attend). I will follow up on the date. David Olson will be providing an update and discussion on the Open Meeting Law. I would also like to discuss some items that VP Lappin and I have been working on and planning for the remainder of the calendar year
